This week’s Pic’ of the Week is congratulating Martin Pigott on winning the M40 category in the West Midland Orienteering Championships. Both Martin and his daughter, Eden (7), are regular runners for BPRC, taking part in over forty events each. BPRC aims to help people get fitter in a friendly environment that’s not totally competitive. Running does not have to be about pounding the streets on your own. There’s not just orienteering, but a whole world of events out there: road, trail, fell, mud, obstacle, cross-country and much more, appealing to all kinds of people. These events encompass all kinds of fitness and ability, leading to all kinds of stories. Not only can BPRC help you build and maintain your fitness, but our members have gone on to compete in other events together, as new friends, and even become members of athletic clubs. We feel therefore that membership of BPRC can lead you on an incredible journey and help you meet some amazing people, you’ve just got to start somewhere. BPRC
